Mick spent 30 years at the BBC during which time he was a reporter, producer, editor and ultimately BBC Radio Merseyside’s longest-serving manager at a radio station with more listeners than any other in the BBC local chain outside London.
Having spent the last 3 years of his BBC career at Media City in Salford Mick left the corporation in 2015 to set up Mickord.com Ltd – a media relations consultancy specialising in media training, crisis communications and P.R.
Based in Liverpool’s Baltic Creative Quarter Mick is a passionate advocate of the city’s digital sector and sees IX Liverpool as a hugely important driver towards achieving a digital economy which is fit for purpose for the 21st century as Liverpool City Region embarks on an exciting future for everyone who is lucky enough to live and work here.
