About me

Tim has always had an interest in delivering the best in class internet access to everyone everywhere. He grew up in rural Kent where the lack of good internet access drove an interest in working for an ISP to deliver better broadband to rural communities.

While at college he started working part-time for Telabria, which was one of the first Wireless Internet Service Providers back in 2005 when ADSL was still considered to be new and coverage was still poor. Telabria provided an alternative that didn’t require BT phone lines and instead used Satellite or the Public Service Network to provide the backhaul. Vfast Internet later bought Telabria and Tim worked for Vfast and Orbital Net expanding the network to eventually cover most of Kent.

He also worked for Moovera and then Icomera which specialise in on-vehicle connectivity. There he worked on the design of the Moovbox product range, firmware testing, installation, support and account management.

Currently he is working a day and night shift rota at Custodian Data Centre in Maidstone as a Network Operation Centre Engineer. There he monitors all aspects of the data centres power, cooling and connectivity to ensure that everything is running as it should be.

In his spare time he is a hobbyist drone pilot and photographer with CAA Permission for Commercial Operation.
